“History displays the events of time.”

The Don Nash History Scholarship was added in 2021 as an addition to the wonderful programs offered through Friends of Danada. It is awarded to a graduating senior from local high schools and students currently attending community colleges who plan to major in general history, American history, public/applied history, or art history.
This scholarship was created in honor of Don Nash, who passed away in June of 2021. He was involved with the organization for over 25 years serving in various roles from Treasurer to President of the Board. One of his major passion projects was the History Committee. He was a wealth of historical knowledge pertaining to the Danada property, Dan and Ada Rice, and the Friends in general. He was always happy to share his historical knowledge with others and contributed extensively to the historical artifacts in the organization’s collection.
All applications are due to the Friends of Danada office by 4pm on Friday, June 14th, 2024
Announcement of award will be made by July 1st, 2024.
